Individual Therapy

First and foremost, therapy is a trusting relationship between the client and therapist. As a result, the first session I’ll focus on creating an empathetic space where you feel heard, valued, and respected. After finding a deeper understanding of your concerns, we’ll work together to find a treatment course tailored to your needs.

I use evidence based practice (i.e. interventions studied and confirmed by scientific research) to guide all clinical interventions to ensure my clients receive the best care. Although the therapeutic approach will differ based on symptoms and concerns, I am formally trained in several evidenced based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Meaning Centered Psychotherapy (MCP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Couples Therapy, Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Prolonged Exposure.

For interested patients, I am experienced in using a Faith Based Lens to discuss concerns and am adept at incorporating clients’ value system of faith into treatment. I’m rooted in the biopsychosocial spiritual model (i.e., biological, psychological, social, and spiritual factors all influence one’s health) and believe you must treat the multiple facets of a person to promote wellness.

Most importantly, I will strive to work alongside you while we face life challenges together. Together, we’ll work to overcome your concerns and strive to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.
